Extracurricular and extension Activities by the college

Krishi Melawa:

The college has been organizing Krishi Melawa, Agricultural Exhibition, Animal care camp, and field visits regularly for the farmers of the area

Mobile Soil Testing Van:

The mobile soil testing van can make the soil analysis on the farmers field itself. Based on soil analysis, recommendations are given on use of fertilizers and soil improvement. This facility is made available at a minimal cost of Rs. 60/- per sample. During last year (2009-10) nearly 3000 samples are analyzed.

Vermicompost:

Today organic farming is becoming more and more relevant amd vermicompost find a important place in organic farming.A demonstrative unit of vermicompost has been installed near the college dairy farm so as to utilize the cattle waste in scientific way. This unit is serving as an excellent demonstration to the visiting farmers of the region.

Urea briquettes:

The college is producing urea briquettes. The necessary machinery has been made available by The Government of Maharashtra. Urea and DAP briquette are produced presently and are made available to the farmers at reasonable cost. This is highly useful for Paddy fields and floriculture crops.

Flower exhibition:

The magnificent flower show is being arranged on every year on 25th to 27th December which is a the birth anniversary of Late Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh. The garden amateurs from all over Amaravati enthusiastically participate in the show.
